Indiana Picking and Fiddling Championships Sept. 3rd and 4th
The Official Indiana State Picking and Fiddling Championships will be part of the 124th Labor Day Celebration at the Warrick County Fairgrounds in Boonville Sept. 3rd and 4th. The competition begins at 6pm on Sept. 3rd, with registration beginning at 5pm. Registration resumes on Sept. 4th at 9am, with competition at 10am. The finals will be held at 6pm on the 4th. Over $6,000 in cash will be awarded. Schedule and details are available online.

Amish Qulit Auction Sept. 4th
The Amish Quilt Auction will be Sept. 4th at the Simon J Graber Community Building in Cannelburg on County Road 900 East. Vendors with Amish dolls, quilt racks, hand loomed rugs, quilt tops, baskets, furniture, jackets and jumpers, hand painted china, wood farm toys and more will all be a part of the event. Vincennes Swim Team to Hold Clinic Sept. 7th-10th
The Vincennes Swim Team will hold a fall clinic Sept. 7th-10th at the VU pool. Check in is at 5pm on Sept. 7th -- clinic is from 5:30-6:30 each day. Vincennes Swim team's coaching staff and senior level swimmers will teach stroke techniques, water safety, conditioning, and fitness. Swimmers must be able to swim a short distance unassisted. WHS Soccer "Kick for a Cure" Sept. 7th
The WHS Boys' Soccer Team will recognize Breast Cancer Awareness at their game Sept. 7th against Forest Park with their "Kick for a Cure." All matches will be played with "Select- The Cure" pink soccer balls, and donations will be accepted for the American Cancer Society. Raffle tickets will be sold to win the game ball. Between games, the Washington Soccer Federation Teams will be introduced. The JV match is slated to start at 5:30pm, the varsity at 7:15pm.
