Elementary schools from Daviess, Knox and Pike counties traveled to Washington’s Griffith elementary for area competition in Indiana’s statewide math bowl Thursday night.
Schools were divided into competition classess by enrollment. North Daviess entered two teams and was the only school in the yellow class.
In the blue class, North Elementary of Washington was first only missing three questions. They were followed by North Daviess’ blue team with South Knox third.
The green class was dominated by Washington schools with Veale first, followed by Griffith and Lena Dunn. In the red class, Barr Reeve was first followed by Petersburg and Vincennes’ Vigo Elementary.
Scores from the schools will be sent to Indianapolis and compiled and placed in the state competition.
