A Tennessee resident was chased and tasered by police Monday night.
State Police Trooper William Campbell pulled over a silver Honda going 75 miles an hour on US 41 near the Gibson/Knox County Line at 9:08-pm. The driver, 55-year-old Gwenevere Estes of Jackson Tennessee, pulled over but sped away north bound into Knox County as Trooper Campbell approached the car.
Estes stopped about a half mile south of Willow Street in Vincennes after stop sticks were deployed by Vincennes City Police. After the vehicle stopped, Estes refused to get out and was pulled out by officers. The resistance continued and she subdued with the use of a taser. She was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and then booked into the Knox County Jail charged with resisting law enforcement, possession of marijuana and driving while intoxicated with marijuana
