Channel 10 in Terre Haute is reporting that Sunrise Coal will be laying off 30 workers as part of a reduction in force.
Suzanne Jaworowski, is Director of Communications, she told the tv station the action is the result of a soft coal industry. 18 miners will be released from Carlisle and 17 contract workers from Oaktown.
