A Wabash Valley Correctional Facility Officer has been arrested for trying to smuggle contraband to an inmate.
Bill Morrison of Linton was stopped as he tried to enter the facility, to go to work, early Friday morning.  He was questioned and turned over several markers and highlighters that contained tobacco and 16 grams of synthetic marijuana).  A search of his home was also conducted and additional markers containing tobacco were found.  Two boxes were also found that Morrison stated had contained the shipments of markers that were sent to his home by families of two unidentified offenders linked to the conspiracy.
Morrison was taken to the Sullivan County Jail and charged with trafficking with an inmate and possession of a controlled substance.  His bond was set at $19,000 and a gate closure has been issued which bans Morrison from entering the facility.
