Wayne L. Stone, 77, passed away Oct. 7, at Amber Manor in Petersburg, IN. He was born November 9, 1937 to Maquis and Mary Stone. Wayne was a member of 1st United Methodist Church, Scottich Rite, and a 50 year member of Pike Masonic Lodge #121. He was also a member of Prides Creek Conserancy District 1970-2015. Wayne owned Stone Implement Co. from 1976-1990 and owned Stone and Stemle in Jasper, IN from 1990-2004.
Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Joann B. Stone; his brothers and sister. He is survived by sons, Brian and Brent Stone, both of Petersburg; step daughter, Leah Tooley of Otwell; grandchildren, Jacob Stone- Bloomington, IN, Haigen and Josh Stone- Petersburg, Adam Tooley- Otwell, and Abby Tooley- Evansville, IN.
Services will be held 11 AM EST Thursday, October 15, at 1st United Methodist Church in Petersburg. Visitation held 2- 8 PM EST Wednesday, October 14 at the Church with a Masonic Service held at 7 PM by Pike Lodge #121. Burial will take place at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. Harris Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
