50 year-old Jeffrey S. Fox of Washington was sentenced to 12 years for conspiracy to commit dealing in meth. The sentence handed down in connection with a 2013 meth ring bust.
Several turned out for the sentencing hearing in Daviess Superior Court supporting Fox. The Washington Times Herald says the sentencing hearing lasted over two hours.
Judge Dean Sobecki in handing down the sentence said he was recommending the Purposeful Incarceration Program for Fox. He says that gives Fox the best chance to get on with his life. Under the program, offenders are offered credit for one day served and one day of credit time., Upon completion of the program, a sentence modification can be requested.
