The Washington City Council passed two resolutions and two ordinances during meeting Monday evening.
The first resolution transferred funds in the Fire Department budget, while the second changed terms and added protections for the city in regard to economic development bonds issued in 2014. The Mayor told the Council that while the changes add some protections, they basically affect the Economic Development Foundation and First Financial Bank.
The Council also passed an ordinance rezoning property to allow the construction of an apartment building on the southeast corner of East 15th and Memorial Avenue.
A second ordinance corrected a mathematical error in the salary ordinance that gave the City Clerk Treasurer too much money.
Also at the meeting Street Superintendent Ernie Evans announced that leaf pick up in Washington would begin November 16.
