The Miss Vincennes University Scholarship pageant will celebrate its 50th anniversary tomorrow night at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center.
Each semi-finalist will participate in five areas of competition including a private interview conducted prior to the pageant, on-stage question, lifestyle and fitness in swimsuit, evening wear, and talent.
Reigning Miss V-U Kearston Anderson says probably one of the most difficut tasks for the contestants is selecting a platform – on a socially significant issue to raise public awareness.
Joining ten Miss VU contestants on stage will be 23 Miss VU Princesses, ranging in age from 4 to 10 years of age.
The pageant will be televised live on WVUT Saturday at 8 pm.
The 10 contestants include Talion Graber of Montgomery. She’s the daughter of Mark and Amy Graber of Montgomery. She is a Homeland Security major at VU and is involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She will perform a hiphop dance routine to “Boss” for her talent and her platform is “ Step up and Believe.”
