Cops and Kids is tomorrow in Washington

The 25th annual Cops and Kids event is tomorrow in Washington.
Law enforcement from several areas along with firemen, conservation officers, prosecutor’s office staff and many more are to take what’s expected to number 175 kids from the local head starts and Four Rivers Pre-School shopping for needed clothes and toys.
Organizer Steve Riney says it’s donations that make it all possible

Riney says the public is welcome to come and see what goes on

Riney says the event will start at 10:30 at Wal Mart tomorrow morning.  At noon the kids are scheduled to head to the Moose Lodge where they are treated to lunch and a visit with Santa.
Also, just because the event is upon us, doesn’t mean you can’t still donate.  You can drop off donations at the Washington, Loogootee and Odon Police Department and Daviess and Martin County Sheriff’s Departments.  You can also give donations to uniformed officers you may see out and about.   Riney says they are hoping to spend at least 125 dollars per child.
