Shawn Gabhart, owner of Gabhart Land Surveying, recently announced his candidacy for Daviess County Surveyor. Shawn received his Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in 2002 and has been a business owner since 2005. With Daviess County roots dating back to the 1800’s, Shawn has been a lifelong resident and advocate for Daviess County.
“Daviess County is at an exciting crossroad and it is essential we have the strongest leaders possible at the table. As a business owner, it’s imperative that good decisions are made or else you have to face the consequences and I will use that same mindset as County Surveyor.”
Through hard work and networking, Shawn has been able to grow his business and now possesses the largest collection of surveys in the county.Shawn also serves as Vice President of the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors, Trustee of the SoutheastDaviess Fire District, Trustee of the Alfordsville Cemetery and a member of Bethany Christian Church. Shawn is married to wife Jenny and has two children, Bryce and Baley.
