A Pike County teen was injured in Wednesday afternoon ATV crash on West Portersville Road in Dubois County.
Conservation officers report it happened at 3:30 yesterday when 14-year-old Kayla Wheat of Otwell was riding on an ATV operated by 14-year-old Jade Bartley also of Otwell.
Witnesses said the four wheeler was going down a hill when a tire got caught on a tree root. The vehicle turned over onto Wheat. Conservation officers responded along with Ireland’s Fire Department and Memorial Hospital’s Ambulance Service. Both were wearing helmets and injuries were not life threatening.
