A million trucks have faulty seatbelts
GM is recalling more than one million trucks. They’re recalling Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks across the nation because the seat belts may not hold people in a crash. The recall covers certain model 1500 pickups made in 2014 and 2015. GM says a steel cable that connects the belt to the trucks can wear and separate over time, making the belt loose. They haven’t gotten any reports of crashes or injuries, but if you have one of these trucks take it in to the dealership, and they’ll install a bracket on the cable tensioner or replace it.
