Carolyn M. Bennett, 89, of Petersburg, Indiana, formerly of Columbus, passed from this life at 9:15 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2016, at Deaconess Hospital Emergency Department in Evansville.
There will be a vistiation only in Petersburg at the Free Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 18th from 4 to 8.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rocky Ford Free Methodist Church (The Rock), 3990 Rocky Ford Rd., Columbus, with the Revs. Don Fausnaugh and Brian Buterbaugh officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church. Private burial will be at Daugherty Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rocky Ford Free Methodist Church (The Rock).

Mrs. Bennett was born July 26, 1926, in Seymour, to John H. and Roxie Mae Martin Manning. She married Edward L. Bennett June 29, 1946.
Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Ford Free Methodist Church (The Rock).
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, the Rev. Edward L. Bennett; sons, Rex E. (Nancy) Bennett of Greenwood and E. Kyle (Michelle) Bennett of Jasper; a daughter, Harleen (Ted) Cutrell of Greenwood; grandchildren, Katelyn and Hannah Bennett, Claire (Michael) Sutherby, Ethan Bennett, Evan (Kelsey) Bennett, Shaun (Donna) Cutrell and Brandon Cutrell (Rob); great-grandchildren, Bennett and Nolan Cutrell and Eden Bennett; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond, John, Leo and Robert Manning; and sisters, Alice Eddy and Edith Traughber.
