Local Democrats continue to try to fill the November ballot.
The Daviess County Democratic Party has recruited a candidate for Daviess County Recorder. Lisa Potts will on the ballot in November. She’s a VU grad with a degree in Business Finance. She also holds a banking certificate and has a minor degree in real estate. In the party’s news release they say that Potts has experience in title searches, which involved gathering information from various offices within the Daviess County Courthouse. Her experience has led to familiarity with courthouses in Daviess, Knox, Martin, Greene, Gibson and Vanderburg Counties.
The local Democrat party recently passed a resolution giving Party Chairman Dave Crooks the authority to appoint candidates to fill the November ballot. According to Crooks, he is still trying to find a candidate for County Commissioner in District 3 as well as Coroner and Surveyor. If you are interested in running for one of the remaining offices you should contact him immediately. The deadline to fill the November ballot is Noon, June 30th.
