Everett “Bob” E. Dolphin Jr., 71, of Washington, passed away Monday in Boonville.
He was born Jan. 7, 1945, in Denver, Colorado, to Everett Sr. and Maxine (Forsythe) Dolphin. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He had worked at McCafferty’s Dodge dealership, Ewing Tire Store, and Indianapolis Power and Light where he retired in 2000. He enjoyed Florida vacations, ocean fishing, blue gill and crappy fishing and spot shooting, and was a member of the Washington Moose Lodge.
He is survived by one sister, Phyllis Stuffle of Washington; one brother, Leo (Trudy) Miller of Newburgh; nieces and nephews; a special friend, Connie Purdue; and many other friends.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Rev. Paul Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
Memorial donations may be given to the Veterans Administration.
