Meth arrest made on Monday…Washington man jailed in Knox County in connection with vehicle burglaries…and accident Tuesday injured two.
-21-year-old Marcus J. Henson of Washington was jailed for maintaining a common nuisance and possession of meth. No bond was set.
-A Washington man has been arrested in connection with items stolen in Bicknell over the weekend. 18-year-old Draten Fitzgerald was arrested Tuesday on charges of theft, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, criminal mischief and possession of stolen property. Bicknell Police say Fitzgerald allegedly broke into several cars Sunday and stole items from the vehicles. He was taken to the Knox County Jail.
-The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department investigated a report of a vehicle break ins at 118-east Briarwood Drive. The caller reported made a report at 6:20-am on Wednesday that all four of their vehicles on the property had been burglarized. Police reports say there was no force entry. An ash tray was damaged, $40 in cash and some loose change were reported taken.
-Two people went to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after an accident on 231 at Daviess County road 1650-North. It happened at 5:20-pm, when according to accident reports, 30-year-old Paul Cary of Odon was south on 231 in an ’05 Chevy Equinox. Meanwhile, 54-year-old Timothy Cliff of Newberry in an ’85 Chevy was driving north. Cary’s vehicle went left of center and hit Cliff’s car and another northbound vehicle, a 2013 Buick driven by 31-year-old Jared Brothers of Spencer. Both Cary and Brothers complained of pain and were taken to Daviess Community Hospital.
