A 10 –year-old ATV rider was flown from Pike County to Evansville after a Saturday crash.
Conservation officers were called at 4:15pm to the incident at Interlake State Recreation Area. 10-year-old Rebekah Collazo of Evansville was operating a Kawasaki 90 CC ATV and was being supervised by her father. She was going up a steep embankment and it rolled down, overturning and landing on top of her. She pinned next to a large rock.
She was flown by Life-Light to Deaconess and treated for a dislocated hip. She was wearing safety gear including a helmet, chest protector, neck collar, riding boots and goggles.
