Man arrested after accident in Cannelburg, Washington Police investigating vehicle break-ins…
–An accident investigation by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department resulted in charges against 21-year-old Jayland Baker on Wednesday. Baker was arrested for leaving the scene of a property damage accident and three counts of operating while intoxicated including with endangerment and with a controlled substance. He posted bond. Baker’s arrest came after an accident on 3rd Street in Cannelburg at about 3:20 Wednesday morning. The pickup he was driving reportedly went off of the road and hit a garage. He left the scene on foot but later returned. He was treated at the hospital for an injury to the leg.
-City police were called about several vehicle break ins on Wednesday. A truck was reported burglarized on Northeast 19th and there were two reports of vehicle break ins on Grand Avenue.
