The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department got the call at 11:41-am about the crash on County Road 700-South west of 1125-East near Alfordsville. The 911 call reported a car on fire and the driver trapped. Southeast and Harrison Fire Department members found the 2001 Ford F150 had crashed into a concrete bridge after being eastbound. The investigation revealed that the driver, 48-year-old Joni L. Yoder didn’t brake prior to the crash. Yoder was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation continues.
