Tandy Gibson, 67, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away at 6:30 P.M on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Bloomington, Indiana with his wife by his side.
He was born in Kentucky on April 4, 1950 to Green and Edith (Craft) Gibson.
Tandy worked for Dana Corporation for 18 years. In his later years he liked to cook, and work in the garden. He was a handy man and could fix almost anything. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and often traveled to South Carolina to visit.
He is preceded in death by his parents Green and Edith, and one brother Larry Gibson.
Tandy is survived by his wife Helen Gibson of Loogootee, his children; Johnny Lee Gibson of Oolitic, Melissa Sue Gibson Muse and husband Todd of Liberty, South Carolina, his grandchildren; Brian Levi Gibson Muse, Alexis Joy Susanne Muse, Makenzie Sue Brianna Muse, Jacob Todd Andrew Muse, his sisters; Mary Tackett of Loogootee, Mabel Scarlett and husband Mark of Forest Grove, Oregon, Subrena Terril and husband Kevin of Williams, Susie Jameson and husband Dustin of Williams, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday May 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 2, 2017 from 4:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m at Blake Funeral Home.
