Donna Gayle Dashner left her earthly loved ones to join her creator July 12, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 38 years Chris Dashner; Parents Don and Pat Stewart; Sister Cheryl Abalos; Children Ryan Dashner, Nicole Dashner Williams, Krista Helms, Michael Dashner; & beloved “Mimi” to her grandchildren Maverick Helms, Beckham Williams, Micah Williams and expectant granddaughter, Remi Helms.
She was a member of Harvest Community Fellowship. Donna loved people and loved her Savior, Jesus Christ which was evident by the number of lives she touched. She loved deeply and lived life to fullest, making an impact with every person she met. She was deeply involved in many small group ministries around the community, avid supporter of the Pregnancy Care Center, the Light House Recovery Center and Camp Illiana, a registered nurse that served as a Wound Care Specialist and a Certified Operating Room Nurse.
A Celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Harvest Community Fellowship, 200 W. Main St. Washington, IN with Pastor Sean Terry and Kara Thomas officiating. Friends may visit with Donna’s family on Saturday from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at Harvest Community Fellowship. There will be a Nursing Honor Guard Memorial Service conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Camp Illiana, 723 E. 450 South, Washington, IN 47501, Lighthouse Recovery Center, 311 E. Main St., Washington, IN 47501 the Pregnancy Care Center, 705 Troy Road, Washington, IN 47501 or the Donna Gayle Dashner Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, 520 S. 7th Street, Vincennes, IN 47591. Donna’s final arrangements have been entrusted to Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN 47591.
