Roy Fields, 63, of Washington, IN, went to his Heavenly Home on July 14, 2017 from Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born on February 12, 1954 in Vincennes, IN to Blythe Ellis and Ella (Peach) Fields. He graduated from Lincoln High School. On May 10, 1980, Roy married the love of his life, Lisa J. Fields. He worked as a laborer at Walmart, Hillside Manor, and Perdue. He attended New Hope Church in Washington. Roy loved attending church. He enjoyed listening to church music, fishing, and visiting with his very special friends Debbie Wagoner-Smith, David Smith, and Larry and Sally Loy.
Roy is survived by his wife, Lisa J. (Perkins) Fields; sisters Brenda Grigsby (Randy), Patty Peters (Terry), Barbara Cates (Keith); brothers Ellis Fields, Doyle Fields (Madlin), Johnny Fields (Lois); uncle Leon Peach; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews; and a beloved Pomeranian named Sassy. He is preceded in death by his parents Blythe Ellis and Ella (Peach) Fields; beloved daughter Rachel Dawn Fields; brother David Howard Fields; sister Levetta Granski; and his beloved Pomeranian named Typhoon “Ty”.
The funeral service for Roy will take place on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 1pm at Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut Street, Washington, IN 47501. Pastor Joe Coquillard will officiate.
