Robert L. Carrico, 71, of Loogootee, passed away at 8:56 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at his home.
He was born February 8, 1946 in Washington, Indiana to the late James L. and Mary Regina (Cissell) Carrico.
Bob was an United State Air Force veteran and served in the Philippines and Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He retired from NSWC Crane after 42 years of employment. He was member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James L. and Mary Regina (Cissell) Carrico and brother, James L. “Turk” Carrico.
Bob is survived by his wife, Elaine (Smith) Carrico, of Loogootee; sons, Bob (Cheryl) Carrico and Tom (Trish) Carrico, both of Loogootee; grandsons, Logan and Jacob Carrico; brother, Rod (Sue) Carrico of Loogootee; step-grandson, Josh Rasico; and loving companion, Snickers the dog.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at Blake Funeral Home.
