About 100 people attended a gathering last night as the Washington Community School Corporation continues to seek public input about the school system’s future.
The Washington Times Herald says those 100 broke up into groups of 10 and met with school board members to talk over the issue. Recently a feasibility study recommended the school corporation construct new buildings and repurpose others. Factors for those ideas include increased enrollment, class size and lack of space.
School officials re-iterated that despite any rumors no decision has been made.
The newspaper quoted board member Randy Bouchie saying a decision on some type of plan could come next year.
