Barr Reeve Elementary Schools is celebrating some national recognition. The school has been designated an Exemplary High Performing School, also known as a Blue Ribbon School, for 2017 by U. S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos and the the US Department of Education. Barr Reeve Elementary School is one of 342 schools in the nation and one of 7 schools from Indiana to be recognized in 2017. The Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors improved student achievement particularly disadvantaged student achievement at public and private schools. The program was created in 1982.
