Daviess County Deputy Troy Fuhs, an 11 year veteran of the Department, made his official announcement at the Gastof in Montgomery last night. The Washington Times Herald reports about 200 were there to hear him say his candidacy is part of a dream, goal and plan in his long time community service.
Fuhs is a Barr Reeve grad, has an AS degree in Law Enforcement from VU and has been a volunteer fireman for Montgomery.
Daviess County Chief Deputy Gary Alison is also in the GOP contest for Sheriff’s. Due to term limits current Sheriff Jerry Harbstreit cannot run again.
