Fire in Wheatland Causes Outages Around Area

A fire in Wheatland caused consternation among area baseball fans, cable TV, and New Wave internet customers beginning about 7:30 last night.
 
The structure fire burned through a bundle of regional fiber optic cables cutting NewWave Communications service. Service was restored earlier this morning.
