Frank Lee Phillips, 69, of Bloomington, IN, formerly of Odon, entered into eternal rest on Oct. 21, 2017 in Tampa, FL.
Frank was born to Alva and Betty Norris Phillips on October 18, 1948 in Loogootee, IN.
He was a civilian employee for 23 years at NSWC, Crane, and retired as a Logistics Manager in 2008. He previously managed the Time Oil gas stations in Scotland and Newberry for many years.
He will best be remembered for his sense of adventure, love of nature, commitment to family and his ability to make others laugh.
Frank was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Bramble and most recently of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church of Ellettsville.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Christopher and Jeremy; and brother, Steve Phillips.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Carol, and five children; Alan (Teresa) Phillips of Bloomington, Jason (Jill) Phillips of Fishers, Brad Phillips of California, MD, Greg Phillips of Indianapolis, Mary Beth (Dan) Mallon of Rockville, MD; eight grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Bob) Hile of Tennyson; aunt, Sue (Jim) Allen of Washington; uncle, Harold Phillips of Wheatland; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be Thursday, October 26 at 11 a.m. at Meng Family Funeral Home, Odon, IN, with burial following at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Calling will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
