Franklin Eugene “Gene” Anthis, 74, of Vincennes, passed away at 1:40 am Monday, February 5, 2018 at Gentle Care Nursing Home.
He was born March 19, 1943 in Knox County to Clifford and Edith (Merriel) Anthis.
Gene farmed his entire life, enjoyed fishing, and was a member of the Moose and Eagles.
Surviving are a son, Frank (Tammy) Anthis Jr and wife Tammy of Bloomington, a daughter, Debbie (Jason Breedlove)Anthis of Mitchell; a sister, Bernice Thoma of Vincennes, a brother, Edward Anthis of Vincennes, his grandchildren, Cody Anthis, Tucker Anthis, Jordan Bowman, Jacob Rose, Wayne Coble, Ronda Brown, and Nicole Brown; and his great grandchildren, Raelynn Rose, Destiny Coble, Blake Gilliland, Arian Coble, Keagan Coble, Addie Easton, Andrew Easton, Lexi Ray, Cooper Ray, Daxton Ray, and Bailey Ray.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and ten brothers and sisters.
