Robert E. Richardson, 89, of Wheatland, IN, passed away March 3, 2018, at his home.
He had retired from Vincennes Steel, and had also worked at the Julian Mine. Bob enjoyed playing guitar, and played many dances at George Field. He opened for Conway Twitty and Ernest Tubbs, and other rising country music stars. Bob played on the Channel 4 show, the Hayloft Folly, several times.
Born May 23, 1928, in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of Kenneth and Pearl (Riggle) Richardson. His parents and a son, Robert Richardson, preceded him.
Surviving is his wife, Helen I. (Harrol) Richardson; a son, Michael R. Richardson of Wheatland, IN; a sister, Pat Schutter of Bruceville, IN; a sister-in-law, Levon Horrall; a niece, Debbie Lucas of Wheatland, IN; nephews, Brian and Rusty Horrall, both of Vincennes, IN; and his best friend, Larry Adams.
A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, on Friday, at 10:30. Goodwin Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
