(photo of the scene on I69 Sunday afternoon in Pike and Gibson Counties)
The southern parts of Pike and Gibson counties received a pelting of snow Sunday afternoon and evening while just a dozen or so miles to the north, there was hardly, if any accumulation.
The snowfall, which was still on the ground in the below freezing temps this morning was enough for Pike County to call off school and implement an E-Learning day today.
During the heavy snowfall, visibilities were down about dark last night and three inches of snow or more was reported as of about 10 last night.
