Shirley Ann Allbright, 81, of Shoals, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center.
She was born December 5, 1936 in Martin County, Indiana to the late Nelson “Fred” and Mabel (Henry) Chastain.
Shirley was a member of the Shoals Holiness Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and on her flowers. She loved to make Sunday dinners for her family and cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shirley’s family will miss her amazing pancakes and her persimmon pudding. She was very calming and always had nice words.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray “Morris” Allbright; infant daughter, Sherri Mae Allbright; siblings, Edmond Chastain, Louise Moffitt, Glen Chastain and Dorothy Kearby; son-in-law, Keith Lowry.
Shirley is survived by her children, Steve (Linda) Allbright of Bedford, Brenda Lowry of Shoals and Mike (Teresa) Allbright of Shoals; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Imogene Parkhurst of Deerfield Beach, FL; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow in Hickory Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
