Jean G. Mullan, 94, died Monday, April 9, 2018, while living at Emerald Place Assisted Living facilities in Washington, IN.
Jean was born Eleanor Jean Good in Washington, IN in 1924, graduating from Washington High School in 1942. She married Joseph D. Mullan in 1943, and moved to Dearborn, MI in 1953. She was very active volunteering through her church, the Dearborn First United Methodist Church, the American Red Cross, and the P.E.O. Sisterhood Dearborn Chapter CP. She lived in Dearborn for 45 years.
She and Joe returned to their hometown, Washington, in 1998. Joe passed away in 2001. She volunteered at the Daviess Community Hospital as an American Red Cross Gray Lady, was a member of the O.E.S. #210, and was a Patroness of Delta Theta Tau in Washington. She was an avid fan of the Washington High School Hatchets basketball team.
She is survived by her sons J. David (Sally) of Lombard, IL and John W. (Marcy) of Carpinteria, CA; her grandsons Dennis of Lombard, IL and Mark of Belmont, CA; cousins Louise Henry of Florida and Jane Greene (John) of Michigan; nephew Joseph W. Mullan (Judy) of Arizona; and several cousins, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her beloved father and mother, Walter J. and Edith Russell Good.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Christ United Methodist Church, 104 N Meridian St, Washington, IN 47501.
Funeral Services are arranged by Gill Funeral Home. The funeral for Jean will take place on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10am at Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut Street, Washington, IN 47501. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 4-8pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service at Oak Grove Cemetery.
A memorial service is being planned to celebrate her life in June, 2018.
