Mary Jo Dyer, 82, of Plainville, In, went to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on April 16th, 2018 in Washington, Indiana. She was born on September 22, 1935 in Pike Co. Indiana to the late Lawrence & Mildred L. (Horne) Willis. She married Raymond J. Dyer on December 6th, 1954. She attended the Pike Co. Schools & attended Petersburg High School. She was employed as an Explosives Handler at Crane Naval Base. She loved working jig saw puzzles, sitting in her swing, and she loved her family.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Connie R. Ray (David) & Christi L. Raney; four grandchildren, Christopher Ray, Carrie Worthy, Cory Brown (Dee), & Casey Raney; five great-grandchildren, Elijah Worthy, Lucas Worthy, Reece Ray, Sydnee Raney, & Alex Raney; several step-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Willis (Linda) & Lannie Willis (Vicki), and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence & Mildred L. (Horne) Willis; husband, Raymond J. Dyer; granddaughter, Cassie Ray, and great-grandson, Cooper Ray.
The funeral for Mary Jo Dyer will take place at Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut St. on Friday, April 20th, 2018 at 11:00am with Bro. Bob Tipton officiating. Friends may call from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, April 19th, 2018 at Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut St. Internment will follow the funeral service at Plainville Cemetery.
