A hard fought yet amicable primary battle between two Daviess County Deputies ended yesterday in a 110 vote win for Gary Allison. Allison won the Republican primary for Sherriff over Troy Fuhs with a vote count of 2,890 to 2,780. That’s a 51 to 49% margin.

In the other races…County Council District 3 went to Tony Duncheon with 767 votes over Kristin Miles’ 664 votes. In County Council District 3, incumbent Mike Myers easily won with near 61% of the vote.
There were 17,527 registered voters for yesterday’s election and nearly 35% turned out to vote, 8% of them voted early.
