In Knox County, the four man Republican race for sheriff went to Doug Vantlin who had over 52% . The final vote count, Vantlin had 2,778 votes, Mike Fisher had 1,801, Dean Shingeck had 523 and Chris Harmon, 191.

Vantlin will face Democrat Brian Hagen for Knox County Sheriff in the fall. Hagen ran unopposed.
An upset in the Assessors Race as Republican Kathy Lane lost to her challenger Kelley Kopp Hopwood who finished with over 51% of the vote. That’s a win by 149 votes over Lane. No Democrat for Assessor is currently on the Knox County ballot.
