At the Daviess County Commissioners regular meeting on Tuesday… the Commissioners accepted the final segment of the Deer Creek Subdivision as a county road; approved placing 30 bicycle route signs along designated county roads, and gave Maintenance Supervisor Scott Schnarr approval to pay for hail related damage at the former Old National Bank building on Main Street.
After regular business, the Commissioners heard a report on the Courthouse Annex progress. Owner’s Representative Michael Schapker said there’s been a problem with the original concrete subcontractor has been replaced. He said work was now proceeding with the buildings footers now in place, Schapker told the Commissioners that work on the buildings walls should begin this week.
Across the street, The Commissioners gave Project Architect Jonathan LaMar the go ahead to do preliminary work on renovating the interior of the Courthouse to convert it into a Judicial Center.
