From the Indiana State Police:
Late last night, a white and blue, 1966 Cessna 150, single engine, fixed wing airplane crashed on the MasterBrand Cabinet’s parking lot located at 624 West 3rd Street, Ferdinand.
After the initial impact the aircraft struck an embankment and overturned.
There were no employee injuries and only very minor property damage to the embankment.
Pilot: Gregory Solsrud, 52, Georgia, transported via ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries
Passenger: Winston Solsrud, 18, Georgia, transported via ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries
Indiana State Police Trooper Steve Nolan responded to the scene and served as the primary investigating trooper. ISP Sergeant Chad Dick assisted in the investigation.
All efforts were made by the Indiana State Police not to impede normal operations of the factory or its employees.
