Margaret “Marty” York, 75, of Vincennes, IN, passed away July 11, 2018, at GentleCare Nursing Home.
Marty had worked as a nurse’s aide at nursing homes in Vincennes and Terre Haute, IN.
Born March 12, 1943, in Knox County, IN, she was the daughter of Garland and Velma (Stevenson) Hatton. Her parents; her sister, Alice Roberson; and her brothers, Don and Sonny Hatton, preceded her.
Surviving are her children, Terry York of Terre Haute, IN, Kim Rutherford and her husband, Steve, of New Albany, IN, John York II of Rosedale, IN, and Rebecca Smith of Brazil, IN; her grandchildren, Michael York of Seymour, IN, Jeremy York and his wife, Denise, of Linton, IN, Stephanie York of Jeffersonville, IN, John Stanley York of Terre Haute, IN, Kaleb York of Indianapolis, IN, Lynnsey Beasley and her husband, Tony, of Shelbyville, IN, Bryar Nevins and his wife, Allison, of Fayetteville, NC, and Rylee Ann Smith of Brazil, IN; her great-grandchildren, Delanie York, Ayden York, Tristan York, Lydia Sergent, Connor York, Quinn Muessic, Luna York, Blake Beasley, and Kaleb Beasley; her special companion, Larry Small of Vincennes, IN; her sister, Garnett Eyre; her children’s father, John F. York I of Rosedale, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to come to a bereavement meal on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the Moose Lodge, 904 S. 17th Street, Vincennes, IN, at 2:00. Arrangements were made through Goodwin Funeral Home.
