Fannie Mae Knepp, 83, of Montgomery, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at her home.
She was born November 28, 1934 in Daviess County, Indiana to the late Jonas and Hannah (Wagler) Yoder.
Fannie Mae was a member of Berea Mennonite Church. She loved watching her kids and grandkids play sports at Barr-Reeve schools throughout the years. She enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking for her family and friends. She loved making “church cookies” for the kids and no one left grandma’s house hungry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonas and Hannah (Wagler) Yoder; siblings, Abner (1st wife, Clara and 2nd wife, Anna-Belle) Yoder, Raymond Yoder and Melvin (Mattie) Yoder.
Fannie Mae is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lester Knepp of Montgomery, children, Gary Knepp, Mervin Knepp, Donna (Mike) James, Wanda (Steve) Bullock, all of Montgomery, Perry (Pam) Knepp of Cannelburg, Devon (Lori) Knepp of Montgomery and Lonnie Knepp and friend, Lisa Cresci, of Evansville; grandchildren, Adara (Ryan) Batchelor, Kacie (Adam) Trueblood, Ethan Knepp, Hunter (fiancé, Paige Hawthorne) Knepp, Micah Bullock, Jenna Knepp, Hannah Bullock, Logan James, Leah Bullock, Ross Knepp, Moriah Bullock, Hagen Knepp and Shaynee-Mae Knepp; great-grandchildren, Ayrah and Ryder Batchelor; sister, Sarah Catherine Yoder of Montgomery and sister-in-law, Leotta Yoder.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Berea Mennonite Church in Cannelburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 30, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at Berea Mennonite Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Barr-Reeve Scholarship Foundation.
