(photo of a small portion of the crowd in downtown Washington Saturday night) Of the 422,000 tickets sold for the Knights of Columbus Treasure Hunt Jackpot on Saturday night, as luck would have it, the ticket drawn did not have the correct number to win the over 2.2 million dollar jackpot. So it rolls to the final number which is the number 50. That means someone will win over 2.5 million this coming Saturday night in downtown Washington. It’s a safe bet that upwards to a half million tickets will likely be sold for this final drawing for this board.
Now the same rules apply even though there is a guaranteed winner. You have to put your name, phone number and the number from the board on your tickets. If you don’t put the number 50 on your ticket and it’s drawn, it will be thrown out.
This is the 2nd time that the Treasure Hunt has come down to this level. Over a million dollars was given away last year as you remember. The Knights of Columbus has taken about $617,000 in monies coming from ticket sales in the past year and given back to the community in many ways by helping out schools, clubs and other needs. Washington Mayor Joe Wellman commented on the K of C efforts…
The mayor also reminds folks to be sure and park legal in the fun and excitement of the draw…
As we told you last week those who park illegal would be towed and ticketed. Several vehicles were towed for blocking driveways, fire lanes and private business areas.
Tickets for the draw are on sale this week 10 to 8 daily and 8-am to 6:45 on Saturday. Get your tickets as early as you can.
