Awards handed out at the chamber banquet

The Daviess County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau held their annual banquet handing out several awards to business, industry and community members.

        The winner of the coveted Hagel Award was Debbie Neukam.  She has served as administrative assistant in the Washington Mayor’s office in four different administrations.  She has worked with both political parties during her tenure.  The award is given to those who show outstanding leadership and community promotion.

        Business of the year went to Isoflex, formerly Alliance Barrier Films, a manufacturer of plastic packaging.

        The Visitor’s Bureau Dillon  Tourism award went to the Indiana Theatre.  Kasey Ivy, a shift manager accepted the award on behalf of the owners.

        Michael Healy was given the Arthur Boddy Award.  It’s given by the Economic Development Corporation and Foundation to those who show leadership and service to their community.
