Financing the city’s state mandated water utility was the focus of one ordinance introduced at last night’s city council meeting.
Mayor Joe Wellman explains more…
The Mayor says the new rate system more accurately reflects the amount of Storm water rerun-off generated by each parcel block of property.
In other action at the council meeting, the city also introduced an ordinance which would raise the City’s rate for wholesale water sales to private utilities to $1.51 per 100 cubic feet, and to 2.25 after 30 million cubic feet
Other proposed ordinances introduced last night tweak the City’s Zoning Code by more explicitly defining a “dormitory” and establishing needed off-Street parking requirements for that type of rental. Another ordinance changes language in the section relating to the Employment Zoning area.
