Local law enforcement arrested a suspect in a reported stolen vehicle yesterday.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office was informed by Vanderburgh County that a stolen black GMC Acadia was being driven by 34-year-old Mathew Fetsher. The police logs state local authorities were told Fetsher was schizophrenic and had been confrontational with officers.
At 3:39-pm the vehicle was seen going east bound on State Road 58 toward Odon from the interstate. The vehicle then went north on 550-East and East on 1500 North before authorities caught up with it and arrested the driver. The vehicle was disabled by remote by On-Star. Fetsher was charged with Auto Theft, Resisting Law Enforcement and Reckless Driving.
