School growth and the need to upgrade older facilities has the Barr-Reeve Community looking at a major addition of a new gym and several classrooms to the school’s complex in Montgomery.
Last night during the Barr Reeve basketball game with Northeast Dubois, Mike DeCoursey interviewed Barr-Reeve Superintendent Travis Madison during halftime. Madison discussed the scope of the proposed construction at Barr Reeve school.
Madison said the new gym would seat 3000 with possibility for expansion. The superintendent also said moving the primary grades to the school complex was a priority and new classrooms will also be added.
Madison said the plan is to begin construction at the end of the current school year.
