Marjorie Louise Truelove, 96, of Odon, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. She was born on August 26, 1922 in Daviess County, Indiana to Charles A. and Lola (Humerickhouse) Myers. She married Arnold Truelove on October 10, 1963.
Marjorie was a member of the Odon United Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge, where she was Past Noble Grand, Past District Deputy and had received the highest degree a member can achieve – The Decoration of Chivalry. She was also a member of the Home Ec. Club, The Town and Country Club and Eastern Star where she was Past Matron. Marjorie worked at Dearmin’s for 22 years and then the Daviess County Courthouse for 3 years before retiring.
Those left to cherish the memory of Marjorie are: four step-daughters, Ruth Wilson of Newburgh, Bonnie (Don) Neukam, both of Loogootee, Violet Herbig of Texas and Mary Ann (Forest) Fields of Washington; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; nieces, Violet Hill, Evelyn Pershing, Barbara Dove, Shirley McElfresh, Kay Cramer, Sondra Gano, Linda McCallian and Sherrell Jordon; nephews, Irven D. Myers, Charles R. Myers and Ronald R. Myers.
Marjorie was preceded in death by: her husband, Arnold Truelove; two sisters, Ora Chestnut and Susie Flinn; brothers, Dale Myers, Shirley Myers, Charles D. Myers and an infant brother; two nieces.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Odon United Methodist Church with Pastor Debbie Payne officiating. Marjorie will be laid to rest in Truelove Cemetery in Loogootee.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, January 4 at the church and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the church. An Eastern Star service is scheduled for 6:30 PM, followed by a Rebekah Lodge service at 7:00 PM on Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Odon United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
