A sting operation by Petersburg Police resulted in the arrest Tuesday of a Washington man.
Decoys acting as children on social media were contacted by 55-year-old Dennis Mitchell of Washington, Illinois. Police say Mitchell had several sexually explicit conversations with a supposed 14 year old over several weeks. Police learned he worked as a janitor at a grade school in Illinois. A warrant was issued and he was arrested for Child Solicitation.
