A man was jailed in Martin County Saturday morning after allegedly firing shots at an officer.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Department put out notice that early Saturday morning they were looking for James R. Maple. The only details given were that while fleeing on foot, Maple allegedly shot multiple rounds at Martin County Sheriff’s Corporal Tyler Reed and was last seen on Mill Road and a K9 was being used in the search. Around 9:30 Saturday morning authorities said Maple was in custody.
