Five people were shot and killed in the span of about 24 hours over the weekend in Indianapolis. It started late Saturday evening when a man was found shot to death along Bellefontaine Street just east of 17th and College.
Nearly two hours later, Indy Metro Police officers were called to an apartment along Twin Oaks Drive, near 34th Street and Shadeland Avenue. They found a man shot and killed lying on the sidewalk outside.
Early Sunday morning a woman was shot to death at what is described by a witness as a biker bar along Roosevelt Avenue, near Massachusetts Avenue and Sherman Drive.
Things were quiet for several hours Sunday until around 3:00 in the afternoon, when police were called to the intersection of 34th Street and Franklin Road. The arrived to find a 17-year-old boy shot and killed.
The final person shot and killed was a 21-year-old man along North Tuxedo Street, between Rural Street and Sherman Drive, at around 9:30 Sunday night.
IMPD does not have any suspects to speak of an any of the shootings.
